Veterans Benefits

On Behalf of | Feb 25, 2020 | Veterans Benefits Planning

If you or your spouse are a veteran who served at least 90 days of active service, of which one day was during wartime (World War II, Korea, Vietnam, or Gulf War), you may be eligible for benefits of up to $2,054.00 per month to help pay medical expenses. If you are a surviving spouse of a veteran, you may be eligible for benefits of up to $1,114.00 per month.

These benefits do not require you be in a nursing home. In fact, they not only help pay for care in your home or assisted living facility, but also pay for medical supplies including cotton swabs, rubbing alcohol, and even prescriptions.

Only an accredited attorney can apply for benefits for you. Sam Butcher is an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for veterans benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs (“VA”).  He can provide education and assistance to enable veterans to qualify for Aid and Attendant benefits. Contact Butcher Elder Law today to determine whether you are eligible for veterans benefits to help pay for your medical needs and for your care at home or an assisted living facility.
